At last, after a long wait, you can delight yourself with the first DVD of INDRA’s live concert. It contains two discs: the video recording of the concert from the Turda Salt Mine in 2007 and the audio version on a separate CD.

Even though this concert took place almost three years ago, we are delighted to present this video performance of INDRA. The artist revealed to us that due to some insurmountable hardware problems, which appeared unexpectedly some time ago during the final stages of editing, a large part of the recording was lost. Consequently the final piece (Mythical Forest) had to be cut short, and the encore at the end of the concert had to be completely eliminated.

INDRA told us that this massive loss of data caused major problems in editing, especially with synchronization, but it continued and eventually managed with certain compromises, which were not noticeable to us at all when we viewed the concert. Nevertheless, loyal to his fans and audiophiles, INDRA decided to include in the box the audio version of the concert with approximately 25 minutes more music than in the video version, all in superior audio quality.

The DVD extras are about the back stage activities during the preparation of the concert, presented in a lively and inspired way (The Making-Of), along with INDRA’s comments. A pleasant surprise is The Interview with INDRA, made by Marius-Christian Burcea in the artist’s own studio. We find out many things behind the scenes of electronic music as well as the beginnings of INDRA’s creative music and his future plans, and much more.

After a pause of many months, INDRA continues the Special Edition series with CD 8: BAGALAMUKHI. These four melodies cover a large spectrum of the Berlin School style, merging celestial sounds with stormy melodic lines. The Demos are a good guide to this. The harmonies are more profound and cover more refined themes as we approach the end of this series of exceptional albums. Maybe listening to them needs something more than simply listening to the sounds, maybe it is necessary to participate with the whole being in their profound sensitivity, heart and mind joined...

A pleasant surprise: after many years, Indra has decided to release a new live album: THE PYRAMID CONCERT, recorded live in July 2008 in Rodvig, Denmark. The concert was performed in a huge wooden pyramid, located by the Baltic Sea, thus adding to the artist’s performances in unusual locations. On the inside cover of the album Indra makes some personal observations regarding this event, from which we can deduce that he was very impressed by the location and its ambience.

The five tracks of the album, specifically noting their live performance, are like some precious jewels of electronic music, full of imagination and sensitivity. We await your reviews and opinions!

It seems that 2009 will be rich with the artistic creations of the artist! It also seems INDRA decided to finish the series of 12 albums that compose the entire Special Edition. This explains the fact that in an amazingly rapid succession, the artist finished album after album to a high musical standard. It is very possible that he used material that he had already worked on and now just arranged them in their final form.

DHUMAVATI is the 7th album in the Tantric Celebration series and impresses with its accurate sounds and sensibility. In the same time, the thematic approach is once again a surprise, which can only charm the fans. Every album from the Special Edition is different to the others in the series and this is not only due to the style of the approach, but also the rich ideas and themes expressed, which are without doubt a reflection of the individual essence of each of the 10 Great Goddesses. This is the truly remarkable value of the musical creations of INDRA.

Not even three months after the appearance of the 5th Special Edition album (TRIPURA BHAIRAVI), INDRA offers us the pleasure of listening to the 6th CD in the series: CHINNAMASTA! The 3 melodies that compose the album blend ingenious choirs with penetrating rhythms, adding another star in the row of the artist's creations. What will await in the 7th album of the series?

In the month of September 2009, fans will have the chance to visit the third version of the artist's site from the last 5 years! In a new graphic and interactive concept, the site will offer those who are interested in this the possibility to express an opinion and will also provide a series of melodies which can be downloaded for free! Also, after a long "absence" because of some security flaws, the FORUM will be available again in a new version, but retaining all the old posts from before.

The fifth CD from the Special Edition series is now available to fans! The album TRIPURA BHAIRAVI comprises five melodies, with a very interesting approach. INDRA seems to want to present us with a very broad and special palette of electronic music, especially in the Berlin School style. From transcendent to very dynamic rhythms, merged in an unexpected way with harmonies of an astonishing sensitivity, this album places the creation of the artist on a even higher level of quality and artistic refinement. Invited by the american music producer Vic Rek, INDRA will participate at the tenth and last Ricochet Gathering Event, 23rd to 30th of May in Vinisce-Croatia, close to Split by the Adriatic Sea. Among the invites there will be Spyra and Steve Schroyder from Germany, Paul Lowler and Paul Nagle from the UK and Bill Fox from the USA. Previous Ricochet Gathering Event in 2008 took place in Romania and constituted one of the most inspired live musical productions, later this year to be released as a 2CD set under the label RicochetDream, USA. For the last 10 years, these memorable events gathered together the best EM musicians and composers in the world. The time to decide for the best will come in 2011 at the grand finale in Berlin, the cradle of the best EM composers ever: Klaus Schulze, Tangerine Dream, Kraftwerk.

9th Ricochet Gathering - a great success! Lavishly elegant and refined, this years' european EM event was put together by Vic Rek and included Indra in a group of skilled musicians. After seven days of 'hard labour' and well deserved breaks in a wonderful environment, the 10 musicians arranged more than 25 hours of material. The best is to be realeased as 4 distinctive CDs. Go to Photo page for pictures during the event. Next 'gathering' will be the last: June 2009 in Croatia followed by 'the great finale',  2011 - Berlin, the home of electronic music.

American producer Vic Rek has recently invited Indra to wave his synths at the 9th Ricochet Gathering, an important electronic music event to take place in Transylvania - Romania at the Count Kalnoky manor in the little village of Miclosoara, Covasna County. For seven days (09.11 – 16.11.2008) Steve Schroyder (ex TD), Wolfram Spyra (Germany), Paul Lawler (UK), Paul Nagle (UK), Conrad Gibbons (Ireland) and others would informally participate in Berlin School jam sessions. It's a homage to Tangerine Dream's original soundtrack of 'The Keep', a film with links to Romania. The most sophisticated recording sessions are intended to be edited and released to the public on 4 CDs of exceptional electronic music, Ricochet Gathering style.

Impressive performance from INDRA in ‘Thunderbolt – Live at the Black Sea’! This time everything was bigger: the stage, the 1,500 strong audience, the involvement, the crew, the equipment and certainly… THE MUSIC! What was put on display was comparable to the likes of JM Jarre, Vangelis and TD - although the german veterans are more modest in light display. The only downside: the gates opened at 1am but in my opinion, the gig achieved everyone’s expectations and definitely represents a new artistic peak for Indra. The clever and smooth approach in collating different EM styles i.e. Berlin School, ambient, meditative, ethnic and even trance in one go indeed is effective and ear pleasing - as the release of the DVD will be to the eye! It looks like Indra has developed an appetite for the Black Sea beach. Last year he performed at Costinesti and this year he’s at it again - only richer. After the success of The Pyramid Concert in Denmark in July, Indra assembles the stage at Costinesti for a grand live performance, a tribute to the great hindu god with the same name who inspires and guides his musical compositions. This open air concert will see a different approach to the live experience and also the use of exceptional technical equipment. We hope he doesn’t get sun stroked…

Following requests from fans, Indra will consider the DVD release of three live performances: Live in the Salt Mine (November 2007, The Turda Salt Mine), The Pyramid Concert (July 2008, Denmark) and Thunderbolt – Live at the Black Sea (August, 2008).

YES, INDRA has announced it! He is going to perform live music inside the pyramid! Possibly for the very first time, on 16 July 2008 up to 700 Berlin School music style fans have the unique chance to get mystical inside a 65ft. (30m) high pyramid built entirely of wood in Boesdal-Stevns. That is Denmark, just south of Copenhagen. Starting at 8pm, the event lasts for 2 hours and includes original Berlin School compositions specially arranged for this event. Given the special location just yards from the sea and the added experience of live electronic music inside a pyramid shaped construction, this one shouldn't be missed. Everyone is welcome! The live performance set to take place at The Sphinx in The Bucegi Mountains at 7000 ft. on the 21st of July 2008 has been postponed, most likely for the summer of 2009 - INDRA has announced. This is due to difficulties related to equipment transportation and stage assembly on the mountain top, which incur massive expenses. We apologize for the lack of convenience we may have created to all who have announced their participation. We can only hope their yearnings would soon come to life.

BHUVANESHVARI, CD4 of the Special Edition is on the mastering desk. The 4 track Berlin School composition sounds great and most likely it will come out in April! I expect it to quickly find its way into the heart of INDRA's fans...

You can have much delight seeing the photos from the last INDRA's gig. As they are many (over 100!) I ordered them in somewhat of a sequential file. I hope fans will feel the 'atmosphere'...

Following the success attained at Costinesti earlier this year, INDRA puts in tune a widely apart thematic development: that of a live performance in a salt mine! Special Edition: Tantric Celebration CD3 - "Tripura sundari is out, courtesy of Eagle Music! The third instalment of the 12CD set is the sequel to 'Kali' and 'Tara' and refers to The Great Cosmic Power of Beauty and Divine Love. I was infatuated with the musical concept, new to Indra, but still part of the pure Berlinese musical line by far. Engage your minds!"

'I have decided to pick what seemed best to me in making this music, thinking that EM listeners have soul and senses in equal measure, and not only ears. To get closer to the message that my music summons forth you've got to let go and drift away, identify yourselves with what you hear. 'Elixir' is specially created with extended sequencers to induce a profound state of beneficent trance thus raising the level of inner perception. This occurs over time so all you have to do is to listen and listen again and you'll witness your mind gradually adjusting itself to the specific vibration-message purposefully embedded in the music. For those using their ears only, first track on this CD could render you bored but it's only a trap with an aim: that of testing one's ability to exceed one's own conventional limits and that's a real challenge. I truly believe this music is not meant for whoever listens to it but for those who deserve it and getting it right requires deep acuteness (soul sensitivity).'

In full season, the Black Sea romanian resort of Costinesti hosted Indra's latest public appearance, vividly welcomed and appraised by enthusiastic audience. It was just another opportunity for Indra to experiment the broad topic of sound and visual effects, generating among the listeners a profound meditative state and proving, once again, his conceptual skills when it comes to live performances. Pictures and a short video were taken during this event and ready for you to be viewed in Photos.

Excellent news for EM lovers! Indra released a new album published by Eagle Music. It belongs to the "Special Edition: Tantric Celebration". The album is called "TARA"and actually is the second CD (after CD1: KALI ) of the 12 CDs project. The style of this album is the one that Indra likes the most: Berlin School. The "Special Edition" is conceived to be made of 12 CDs that will offer music of improved Berlin School style.

Up till now the following albums (factory made) are available : COLOSSEUM (1994), KALI (2006) and TARA (2007), the rest will be available soon. We look forward to hear your impressions, reviews, comments by e-mail or on the forum. Enjoy the music!

Eagle Music has just released on the market the album 'COLOSSEUM' (re-edit from 1995, see nr.9 in the Discography). There is also a Bonus Track on it ('DEUS MAGNIFICENT' of 20 minutes length).

INDRA will give a 2 hours live performance on the 1st of November 2006, starting 19:45 during the "Angel's Week" Fest held in Bucharest.

The Italian magazine "New Age Music and New Sounds" no. 165 (September 2006) has published an interview with Indra and included on their CD the track "The Space Between Us" from HELIOS ARENA (1997).

There is a beginning for everything and, applying to Indra, the long-waited 12 discs of the ‘SPECIAL EDITION - Tantric Celebration’ makes its debut with the first one: KALI, already published by Eagle Music, is suggestive and full of the force Indra has undeniably brought in the Berlin School style!
As a reminder, ‘SPECIAL EDITION – Tantric Celebration’ is a complex and plentiful project with a clear and well defined construct. Ten of the twelve CDs are associated to THE TEN GREAT COSMIC POWERS of the traditional tantric Hindu spirituality; the 11th CD is dedicated to the SHIVA-SHAKTI divine couple and the 12th is nothing more than the peak of the collection (alternativ: cherry on the top) and refers to The Divine Absolute (BHAIRAVA). 

'This 12 CD Special Edition is an older project and I eager to complete it by the end of the year. Each composition is wondrous in its own way, for it expresses to the best the main characteristics of the TEN GREAT COSMIC POWERS. Eagle Music is seriously about working hard for Indra. I looked a few years back on his album list and found that 1995 is appealing. Oldies but goldies, I said to myself. For it was a good year for Indra, too: the first ever large scale EM live performance in Romania took place on 21st December at Fantasio Hall in Constanta and now, almost eleven years on, it’s time to re-live that unique moment: FLUX – A Winter Solstice, on CD! Even though the original tapes were professionally recorded at the event, over the years sound quality faded away to a certain degree, thus making Indra hesitate to consider its shelf worthiness. Still, I considered the material to be of great value for EM music fans and acted accordingly. I should recommend you allow a special listening session for this one. The other title on the re-edit list is MAHARAJ and this was the real case for INDRA hesitated to agree with publishing the material (it seems there were some problems with the analogic recording).

INDRA will perform for one hour only on 20th April 2005 in Bucharest at the Romanian Chamber of Commerce (George Assan Hall), 2 Octavian Goga St. This event is part of the Alternate Therapy Symposia ‘A triumph against cancer. The therapy of the future’ and will begin at 8:30pm.

SIGNS, the latest creation of INDRA is in the final mastering stage, expecting to be released in May 2005. It’s the first album since Ultimate Nexus (2002), structured on 10 compositions somehow different from INDRA’s typical style.

THE CALL OF SHIVA is a proposed Limited Edition 2CD set. INDRA’s still working on it, looking forward to the launch in June/July 2005. SPECIAL EDITION TANTRIC CELEBRATION,a forthcoming project, encircles a set of 12CDs. INDRA is working on the first one, KALI.
