Track identification

Hello everyone

I'm completely new to INDRA's music. I just started attending a tantra course, where I was presented to a fantastic piece of music. My teacher told me that the track was from INDRA and said that it was called "Harmonies" (or maybe it was the album - I'm not quite sure). Anyhow, browsing through the discography section in here, I didn't find any track or album called Harmonies, so I thought I might describe it in here, and maybe one of you could identify it for me

It's actually not that complicated. Mostly it was just a lot "GONG" sounds played over each other, in different tones and with different intensity. My mind and body responded extremely well and intensely to these stimuli and I virtually felt myself vibrating with the different sounds.

I do hope that I can get my hands on this fantastic piece of music - any help will be highly appreciated.

Warm hugs
Andreas

How I've got in touch with Indra's music

Hello! The first time I listened to Indra's music was in the spring of 1996. A friend of mine showed to me the album "Maharaj". From the first track of the album I was astonished by the quality of the music.
Although "Maharaj" is an old album it has remained my favorite Indra's album and even one of my favorite EM albums (I have listened it several hundred times!). The tracks are well constructed and very well balanced. Every track is made up of two parts. The first one, part I (as it was labeled on the 1995 MC version of the album), is more reflexive, introspective and subtle, whereas the part II is more dynamic and rhythmic (a nice yin-yang couple I can say).
Since then I have listened to "Colosseum", "Interactive Play", "The Way Out", "Flux", "Helios Arena", "Echo in Time", "Ocean of Silence", "Sideral Music", "Millennium Live 2000", "Signs", "The Call Of Shiva".
What I like to Indra's music is that the "themes" are not developed in a classic way. Almost every time you expect that a sequence would evolve in a certain way, Indra uses a different approach. It seems that the author's primary concern is not to create a hit, a "good-hearing" tune but, using an unique and an exquisite sound, to convey us a certain message, at a subtle level of course.
Another great feature of Indra's music is his diversified sound. He uses a nice and unique combination of etheric/floating/lush pads with rhythmic sequences, or even sampled material sometimes, that drifts you away or make you plunge in the depths of your consciousness.
What a pity that in Romania his music is not present in public media broadcasts instead of the low-quality comercial stuff that we see every day!
Btw, it is possible to make a newsletter on the website for the interested people in which the registered users could be announced in time when some Indra events (like concerts) would take place? I never found out about them in time...

KINGDOM OF LIGHT

First of all I want to say that I'm very pleased that Indra choosed to re-issue some of his old albums! I like that period most, probably because then I've get aquinted with his music and his unique style.
Regarding the re-issue of "KINGDOM OF LIGHT", I remember that I've read somewhere, long time ago, that the whole album contains romanian folk music themes arranged in an electronic music fashion.
I always wondered if the main theme from "Waving" is actually a modified romanian folk music song. Can Indra tell us if it is so and what song is from, eventually? In the excerpt posted on the website it's the lead part starting around 0:50.

As a result of a long waited wish from the fans' part, here is the gear list of INDRA's recording studio. Sorry for the delay in releasing it on the site, INDRA was not available for very long periods of time so that it was practically impossible for me to persuade him for writing down the names of the synths.
notes on Tantric Celebration

I listen often the CDs from Tantric Celebration series. These albums fulfill and deepens in the same time a secret need of my heart, amplifying an infinite longing coming from inside. The music is meticulously created, you can feel it in every note; all the sounds are animated by an internal life, part of a process of revealing a beautiful and majestic, sometimes frightening world of mystic experience.
These qualities present in Indra's music are unique in today's Electronic Music. That's why I always enjoyed to promote his works on my radio show "Journeys to the Infinite". Visionary and futuristic, profoundly connected with cosmic sources of inspiration, Indra delivers a powerful art to transform your being into a spiritual realizer.
